Facebook just held its annual developer conference, F8, and like they seem to do every year, they introduced big changes to profiles and API, which means that developers like myself have to go back under the hood on a whole bunch of our Facebook apps and integrated websites and make a bunch of tweaks. For the second year in a row they’ve rolled out “open graph” API additions that alter the way content around the web plays within their network. I suspect they’ll do the same next year, and my “fate” will once again be to go back to my apps and sites and apply additional changes.

So, I guess it makes sense why they call it F8, because it’s the feight of every online producer to find themselves, seemingly year after year, applying new, significant changes. Not that this is bad, it’s actually kind of fun, and its important to constantly be improving the system, but I guess you catch my drift here.

How has Facebook altered your “fate”? (Or something) Share your thoughts.
